The Last 5 Years is a deeply intimate, two-person musical that explores the rise and fall of a relationship with honesty, vulnerability, and emotional clarity. Through a soaring and heartfelt score by Jason Robert Brown, we follow Cathy and Jamie, two ambitious artists navigating love, success, and the slow unravelling of connection. Told through opposing timelines – Cathy moving backward and Jamie moving forward – the show offers a poignant, layered perspective on love and loss. With humour, heartbreak, and striking simplicity, The Last 5 Years invites performers and audiences alike to sit in the quiet moments of joy and grief that define modern relationships.
