First Date, A Musical Comedy

When blind date rookie Aaron is set up with the bold and unpredictable Casey, a seemingly simple drink at a busy New York restaurant quickly transforms into a hilarious and chaotic evening. Aaron, a 30-something nervous banker seeking a meaningful relationship, and Casey, an edgy, free-spirited artist, couldn’t be more different.
As their date unfolds, the pair navigates awkward small talk, personal baggage, and a series of laugh-out-loud interruptions. Their inner fears and fantasies come alive as other restaurant patrons morph into meddling best friends, judgmental exes, overbearing parents, and even personified social media platforms.
With a meddlesome yet well-intentioned waiter guiding the way, Aaron and Casey must confront their own insecurities and learn to look beyond first impressions. Featuring a contemporary rock score, First Date hilariously captures the highs and lows of modern dating while reminding us that love often comes in the most unexpected ways.
