First Date, A Musical Comedy

When blind date rookie Aaron is set up with the bold and unpredictable Casey, a seemingly simple drink at a busy New York restaurant quickly transforms into a hilarious and chaotic evening. Aaron, a 30-something nervous banker seeking a meaningful relationship, and Casey, an edgy, free-spirited artist, couldn’t be more different.
As their date unfolds, the pair navigates awkward small talk, personal baggage, and a series of laugh-out-loud interruptions. Their inner fears and fantasies come alive as other restaurant patrons morph into meddling best friends, judgmental exes, overbearing parents, and even personified social media platforms.
With a meddlesome, yet well-intentioned waiter guiding the way, Aaron and Casey must confront their own insecurities and learn to look beyond first impressions. Featuring a contemporary rock score, First Date hilariously captures the highs and lows of modern dating while reminding us that love often comes in the most unexpected ways.
Will this mismatched couple find a spark, or will their first date end before dessert?
